The key to the success of a winning trade can be found in the fast and efficient processing of the latest relevant data. As a Data Engineer, you play a key role in this process. Gathering and processing data and transforming it into usable information for trading is an essential part of Northpool’s activities.
Grasp the opportunity
As a Data Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for expanding and improving our data architecture. In concrete terms, this involves developing web scrapers, real-time transformations of raw data, back-end APIs, and front-end dashboards for our traders. You will streamline data flows and build monitoring systems to ensure that our trading is provided with high-quality, reliable information to stay ahead of the market.
Your challenge? New data sources emerge almost every day. It will be your job to collect and monitor data from these sources. You also be involved transform it into useful insights that support trading decisions every day.
As a Data Engineer, you will first learn and understand the data requirements of trading and develop the knowledge needed to interpret the data effectively. You will be part of both our new US Power team and the Data Engineering team, working closely with traders and fellow data engineers.
What we ask
- BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science or adjacent
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with end-to-end modeling pipelines / MLOps
- 1-3 years of work experience in relevant roles
- A flexible work mentality
