At Northpool we trade mainly Western European short-term power which is power that is used on the same day or the day after it is traded. Our core business is trading power and gas combined with expertise and knowledge of a broader range of energy products such as oil, coal and emissions as all are related to the price of electricity.

Why Vancouver?

At Northpool we trade mainly Western European short-term power which is power that is used on the same day or the day after it is traded. Our core business is trading power and gas combined with expertise and knowledge of a broader range of energy products such as oil, coal and emissions as all are related to the price of electricity.

Since 2014, we trade 24/7, day and night. Our colleagues work seven days a week, 365 days and nights a year to make sure the business can continue.

On April 1st 2023, we started trading in Vancouver.

With an office in Vancouver, we are able to 'follow the sun': our trading team -that consists of four colleagues- trades the European nights.
